Please let me know what you can.  I'd like to avoid a "brown paper bag" 
2.00 release, but it's clear there are some key bugfixes in there.

I think I have gotten the "large config file" problem nailed, but I 
can't be 100% sure since I never was able to actually reproduce it; 
however, the config file that Josef Siemens mailed contained an 
important clue.
