[syslinux] Mounting IDE hard drive

Hello,

I have a boot floppy runnning SYSLINUX.  My intention is to have a firewall 
setup.  I would like to mount an IDE hard drive and so far, i am unable to 
do this.  I am new to this platform and would like some assistance in 
getting this drive to be recognized in linux.

Can you offer any help?
