[syslinux] problem building com32 modules directory

This is also failing for me with 2.16-pre6, with the
same error.  I have tried a few different versions of
ld I have around, and they all fail the same way.  My
default build enviornment is with the SuSe 64 bit
distro.  Any ideas?
