[syslinux] malloc in libcom32 broken?

Wow, your response is great, Peter!  I fully
understand that bugs are expected in pre-release
versions, and I'm just trying to help by pointing out
problems when I see them.  

I am just starting to get involved in com32/syslinux
development, and I hope that I can be a productive
member of the community.  I took your "documentation
is appreciated" comment to heart, and I plan to
contribute when I can.
