[syslinux] SERIAL option not working in ISOLINUX?

Hello All,

I am having a bit of trouble with the SERIAL option in ISOLINUX. Does 
anyone have any ideas?

Here is my config:

SERIAL 0 
default ITPCFW
display message.txt
 
label ITPCFW
  kernel kernels/generic
  append initrd=initrd.img ramdisk_size=7524 console=ttyS0 
prompt_ramdisk=0 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc rw
