[syslinux] memdisk fails to boot HD image, if the system does not have an HD

I saw quite a bit of this on IBM HS20-8843 (required hardware
reprogramming) fixed in rev05 hardware and HS40 systems I needed to
leave the pxe images uncompressed all the time.
