I see that now in the MEMDISK documentation. Sorry for that.

What confused me was the part about floppy images in the ISOLINUX 
documentation. But it does talk explicitly about MEMDISK fixing this 
limitation. So the error was completely at my part :/

Now I wonder why it didn't work.
