[syslinux] Graphical menu seperate cfg file

Just while I remember to ask could you please explain how you have 
implemented the seperate gfx cfg file?
ie:
does it:

if (gfx file passed)
        read
        Check for options in reg conf file that override gfx cfg
        if (override options present)
                change those values
        fi
fi
