Your patch seems to add useful DNS functionality with a minimal code 
size increase.  I think it is fine.

If the behavior introduced by this patch is insufficient, we could 
consider adding an extended DNS resolution option, but I concur with hpa 
that for most network booting situations this functionality seems 
sufficient.

Let's see what mcb30 thinks about it.
