We have the ADV for disk-based variations; it would be possible to use
server-side storage for PXELINUX (hacky, but...); ISOLINUX is really
hard, though.  I have looked into VPD and some of those things, but it
looks hard to find something that will not have bad failure modes...
there is that bloody reliability thing again.
