[syslinux] How to generate bootable medium under Windows2000 ???

Hello syslinux

We are using a compact-flash as bootmedium for SysLinux and Linux 2.4.x.

We use an IDE to ComPact-flash 'converter' in the target.

So far, we have generated the boot-medium on Linux-host, via a
USB-compact-flash reader/writer,
and this works fine.

Our customer would like to generate new boot-flashes from Windows2000 via
SysLinux.com.
Now the problem starts, as Windows2000 does not seem to let SysLinux.com to
write to the bootsector,
or at least it complains about.

Trying to boot from the Flash generated on Windows2000, results in a message
from BIOS, telling that no
boot-medium was found.

Does anybody know a way around this problem ???

best regards
