You probably need a power cycle in between.  You might also need to 
disable Wake On LAN or some such.  Clearly the Windows drivers leaves 
the card unusable to its own PXE stack.  You should check with DLink if 
there are any driver or PXE stack upgrades available, and otherwise 
complain.
