OK, this is definitely not a SYSLINUX/PXELINUX/ISOLINUX problem, since 
you're getting way past that point.  The "I have no root" message occurs 
nowhere in the Linux 2.4.20-pre6 source code, so you probably want to 
get the sources from your distributor.
