[syslinux] server freezes after config file

After the config file is loaded, the server locks up.  If the config file is 
set to load from local disk, it locks after displaying the message "Booting 
from localdisk".

If I have it pointed to another image, I get garbage characters and then it 
locks up.

See the end of this message to see someone who had a similar problem.
