[syslinux] very strange kernel problem

How do I fix this?
I tried formatting and making bootable a floppy from DOS and it booted 
correctly, then I replaced its files with the linux ones and run a 
"syslinux -s /dev/fd0" but once again the floppy behaves in that strange 
way :-(
