[syslinux] very strange kernel problem

Hi,
I somehow bypassed the problem: I've just modified slightly the kernel
configuration [just USB modules and similar stuff, nothing to do with
the booting process] and recompiled the kernel and now it works fine.
Maybe the problem had to do simply with the size of the previous kernel?
I know it sounds silly but I really can't figure out any reason for this
odd behaviour.
Anyway, it is not a problem anymore, so who cares? :-)
Thanks,
 Roberto
