Hi,

you can also try the ramdisk_size kernel parameter (200 MB = 204800 kB).
Simply put it in the APPEND line. It should look something like this:
	APPEND root=/dev/ram ramdisk_size=204800 initrd=initrd.img

The default ramdisk size in the kernel equals to 4096 kB and I also ran in
some
trouble with this.
I hope that works for you,

Thomas

Subject: [syslinux] ramdisk_size

Hey All,

I'am using pxelinux to try and boot a 200meg uncompressed (approx 50
compressed) ramdisk onto a machine with 512meg of ram. It looks as though
I'am running out of memory (attempt to access beyond end of device error).
Is there a limit on what we put for ramdisk_size? Or Is there other
limitations?

thanks
