[syslinux] Syslinux on PPC

Hello,

I am trying to get syslinux to work on my PPC machine. Now before you start 
yelling that it doesn't work and will never work just listen:

I have a usb flash drive that I want to make bootable for linux (DSL). The 
only system I have right now that has linux is PPC - but the usb drive is 
meant for an x86 system. So basically, I want to be able to run the 'syslinux' 
command on my PPC to make the usb stick bootable for an x86 system.

Is this possible? Can I just compile the sources myself on the PPC system?
