I gave this a whirl; but to no avail. The symptom still persists...and 
even after bumping .text further up to 0C000h.

Additionally, I noticed that my LOCALBOOT -1 confgured as a fall-through 
also fails. Along with a test of LOCALBOOT 0 which in my case should 
result in the same thing; skipping PXE and going for the local disk 
partition that is next in BIOS order.

So something must be amuck here. I'm just not sure if it is the Tyan/AMI 
BIOS or SYSLINUX??
