I believe there is curently no means of doing this.  The menu clears
the screen for one thing.  It may even use a different video mode or
something.  Perhaps with modifications or the advanced menu instead,
you might get something to work, but, barring that, I think you're not
going to do it with just what's on hand.  Personally, I have one disc
with a logo loaded just before the menu (I set up a proper fallback
setup in case the menu fails or I just need to manually type things
in) and it definitely gets wiped by the menu if it loads.
