I use pretty well the whole package when it comes to syslinux. Syslinux
for floppies/hd's/usb keys, isolinux for cd's, pxelinux for network, and
memdisk just about everywhere (syslinux/pxelinux/isolinux and even
grub/lilo). So it would be sad if the work stopped on syslinux as I
find it a very useful tool that can be used for just about any OS.

I too have used isolinux to create my own Slackware Live CD.
