[syslinux] error loading operating system

This is the mailinglist for Syslinux, a bootloader.
Which operating system are you trying to install and what has it to do with Syslinux?

storage media usually need to be partitioned, then formatted (put filesystem on it), and have a bootsector.
Some operating systems require activated primary partitions for initial booting.
