[syslinux] building initrd.img with updated drivers

Syslinux *is* a subproject of Syslinux. Both are bootloaders for 
different media, and have nothing to do with Linux.
The bootloader gets told what to load by a configuration file, and the 
specified program (referenced by 'kernel' statement in config file) may 
have a ramdisk image or not.

So there's no "it's ramdisk image" for any Syslinux version/flavour.
your Linux has an initrd, not pxelinux.

And that makes it a Linux question/problem, not a Syslinux (Pxelinux) 
one. Good luck solving it :)
