   APPEND root=/dev/nfs nfsroot=192.168.4.110:/clients/192.168.4.100/root nfsaddr=192.168.4.100:192.168.4.110:192.168.4.97:255.255.255.224:dk1.loc:eth0

( all APPEND parameters on a _single_ line )

Most likely, this doesn't come down to an issue with syslinux,
it seems to have done it's job.
