Yes. I just test/verified with the sample.msg/syslogo.lss in 3.32-pre8. 
Here an ENDROW -4 still fails, but ENDROW -5 works for some reason!

However, any text output from a menu item is *not* displayed five lines 
from the bottom. Double-however, if I immediately reload menu.c32 
(bypassing the DISPLAY foo) successive text output *will* appear; and at 
the appropriate spot.

So this is only related to the ^X and resulting video mode switch. And 
only when ENDROW is -4 to -1.
