If what you're talking about is the still-very-indefinite move to UGA, 
then this code should be trivially portable to UGA when that time comes.

If EFI ever takes off, the whole syslinux project will have to be 
seriously reconsidered; EFI is a platform as different from the standard 
x86 BIOS as OpenFirmware on a PowerPC.
