[syslinux] Syslinux: Broken file reading for fat16 with 3.35+?

OK... I've figured it out... the extension detection in syslinux 3.35 is 
broken; it should be using the same code as the other derivatives now, 
but of course I missed making that change and it's still looking for 
MS-DOS mangled filenames.
