[syslinux] Yukon Nic

I have the exact same problem with a Marvell Yukon. Once we got the new
Fujitsu P1610 laptops, I had to disable menu.c32 and go back to a plain
text menu. Is there any fix available? Neither vesamenu.c32 or
menu.c32 work with this card.

Sorry, Dave did not provide more details. Let me explain more.
One of the NICs I know does not work with pxelinux 3.05 to 3.32-pre8 is
Marvell 88E8056 Gigabit. Another one, which Dave is using, is
Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E-Fast Ethernet Controller (Yukon PXE
v.5.12.1.3 ( 20060316)).
The problem is When pxelinux client boots, no matter it's menu.c32 or
vesamenu.c32 (for newer version), it just fails before the menu is
shown.
For pxelinux/syslinux 2.0 to 3.02. It works. 3.02 can work with menu,
and it runs smoothly. I think there is something changed from syslinux
3.02 to 3.05.
BTW, I googled this problem, and found the Rembo, a clone software, has
this description:
---------------
http://72.14.235.104/search?q=cache:RtD4OmH6MZoJ:www.rembo.com/phpBB2/vi
ewtopic.php%3Fp%3D8121%26sid%3D49caecf36e6808b0e519576951d54b2c+yukon+PX
E+rembo&hl=zh-TW&gl=tw&ct=clnk&cd=3&client=firefox
The fix IS to to use "disable enhanced PXE". This card does not follow
fully the PXE specification. So we have to call PXE code in "real
mode" (like do the bios) instead of "protected mode".
---------------
Hope the above helps. If not, please let us know.

Steven.
