[syslinux] syslinux files in subdirectories

Hello,
is there any progress in syslinux supporting subdirectories?

I would suggest to support at least a '/boot/' directory, so the boot 
files (kernel images, syslinux.cfg) can be in a single dir instead of 
placing them to root.
