[syslinux] vesamenu causing screen lock-up

I find this behaviour very odd I have run ALL the 3.x (excluding 3.32 & 
3.4 versions of PXELinux on VMware workstation 5.5.2 & 5.5.3 and the 
Vmware server 1.0.1 and never had any problems with the vesamenu system..
