[syslinux] Problem with memdisk and DOS on USB

I know this pops from the dead but I think this problem is caused by my
laptop not having a floppy controller, I've had this same problem with other
computers with disabled floppy controller or laptops with no floppy. Is it
possible that I can not boot floppy images on a computer with no floppy
controller?
