[syslinux] Regressions in syslinux 3.71

Hi,

syslinux 3.71 has unfortunately two regressions, compared to 3.63.

  * isolinux fails to boot on MacBooks, see #412682

  * isolinux sort of hangs when beeing run in qemu, see #496869

Do you have any insights on these?
