[syslinux] memdisk not booting .ima unless there is a floppy drive

I don't have a specimen of a failing machine, which makes it hard to fix 
- I have fixed some machines, but not others.

A detailed description of the messages printed *might* give a clue why 
it's failing on your particular machine.
