[syslinux] reloading extlinux.conf freezes the system

Hi Ferenc,

Thank you for the image, it was instrumental in tracking down this 
failure (I hadn't tried extlinux on floppies recently, so I hadn't seen 
the problem.)  Could you verify 3.71-pre12 fixes it?
