Hi,
for some reason the computer(s) of Vreixo Formoso
refused to boot from an USB stick isohybrid processed
ISO image of RIP-7.0. I myself retried with RIP-7.2
and had no success either.
I am still waiting for Vreixo's BIOS details. He is busy
with other things.
My ninja computer plumber discouraged me to pull the
Promise IDE controller with its BIOS myself.
I'll have him here physically in the middle of next week.
Until then i'd like to check some of the unknowns in
the current test setup:
- Does RIP-7.0 or RIP-7.2 boot from USB stick at all ?
Did anybody try successfully up to now ?
- With what other ISO images has util/isohybrid been
tested successfuly for booting from USB stick ?
Are there any of them publicly downloadable ?
Have a nice day :)
Thomas
