On my side, I'm using gpxelinux to load linux distro's installer
kernels/initrd.
My web provider (the 2nd bigger in France) is hosting one of the biggest
mirror that is only available using ftp (ftp://ftp.free.fr).
In my use cases, http & ftp are some very common protocols (kernel.org
offers both on the main page :p)
gPXElinux is 57K with FTP, if this is acceptable, I would love to have
it ;o)
