I would expect very few BIOSes to correctly handle any other sector size
than 512 (and Syslinux doesn't support them, either, since I have never
had a specimen.)  I expect that 4K sectors will eventually get
supported, since disk drive manufacturers are pushing for 4096 to be the
new 512.
