Not even if you tried to boot from the network, but gave up and fall
through to CD boot for example?

Internet suggests that the VGA framebuffer is preserved accross
reboots.  Maye dump there and have a small utility to read it out
after reboot.  It was discussed under the name of "Oops assist", but

Looks like it wasn't ever deemed worth the effort...
