Well, part of it was axing the use of sprintf() in favor of strpcpy() as
well.

This bit about screen clearing seems to have come up a few times lately,
and I'm wondering if perhaps something like a clear attribute in the
config file might make more sense (which could be either global or per
label, maybe.)
