[syslinux] Inconsistencies between ExtLinux and IsoLinux

Matthijs ter Woord reported in the initial
mesage that he used -l.

Even with -l, names are uppercased by mkisofs
(and possibly lowercased by the reading
software).
I see in man mkisofs options like
  -allow-lowercase -allow-leading-dots -allow-multidot

But the solution for the riddle of Matthijs must be
somewhere else, anyway. Differences are his
  -hard-disk-boot
and your
  -c isolinux.cat -no-emul-boot

... if it is not about BIOS differences.
