Just to clarify, a "normal" WinPE RAM image can be booted using *LINUX
and MEMDISK without WinVBlock.

Here's MS instructions on how to create a WinPE RAM image on ISO/CD:

I don't know how ERD boot discs are created, if it isn't a bootable RAM
image you probably need WinVBlock.
