Just as an added note, I've built all the 3.0 rc kernels and the 
released 3.0 and it has worked with syslinux 4.04 released with 
my g4l project alphas. I did run into the same error when I did the 
first kernel, and named it bz3.0 and had the error of it not loading, 
but renameing them to bz3x0.rcx and now bz3x0 worked fine.
