[syslinux] syslinux-4.10-pre15 and KVM guest booting problem

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, I could not post sooner.

The physical machines that I had experimented with are no longer RHEL and will be Windows' for a few more weeks.

Whether it is a host machine related problem is something I can /probably/ verify only then. Until then, I can get a make and model of the machines.

Also, sorry to sound cryptic in the first "bug-report" post...in my mind I was in continuation of my previous "4.10-preXXX" related posts.

WRT that, I had already experimented with all the chipsets; same result as you have mentioned...just doesn't work with virtio, and this trippy behavior with e1000. I always verify to see to it that the network being used is e1000 (unless required otherwise).

Any pointers on how to update the qemu-roms package safely? without messing with things?

(Idea: I can try with the CentOS 6.0 equivalent and report back as well).

Till then I am setting up a VirtualBox based server with 4.10-pre15 and see how things go.

Regards,
Shantanu
