The problem does not occur when doing a complete rebuild (make spotless,
make, make installer) on RHEL6 using what ships with it:
gcc-4.4.4-13.el6.x86_64
nasm-2.07-7.el6.x86_64
But the build fails on RHEL5 and older because of too old nasm.
