Users should be able to remaster the ISO onto any bootable medium, and
not be restricted to specific paths (there are people who create
multi-boot USB drives with tons of ISOs on them).

This concerns the test ISOs only, the last release is old and handles
everything differently.

Never-ending problem, I'll maybe address, but this is OT here.
