Hallo, Gene,
Du meintest am 01.07.12:
>> libcom32.c32

>> vesamenu.c32

I've tried this way (manually):
Copied
*.bin
*.c32
*.com
*.0
*isolinux*
from the *.tar.xz packet into the "isolinux" directory. Next try:
Undef symbol FAIL: SHA1Update
boot: (and waiting)
Trying
boot: vesamenu32
-> loading vesamenu32... failed!
Kernel load failure (insufficient memory?)
boot: local
-> FAIL: console_ansi_raw
------------------------------------
Seems that running "make" produces other files than the original files
in the *.tar.xz packet.
Maybe an "INSTALL" file (a "HOWTO") could help.
------------------------------------
If "insufficient memory" is the right diagnosis: that may be a bad
diagnosis.
My Thinkpad T22 has 384 MByte RAM, the mentioned antique Compag has
perhaps 256 MByte RAM.
Viele Gruesse!
Helmut
