Thanks Helmut, I was able to reproduce your bug with that config.

I just pushed a fix for this out to the 'elflink' branch at,

	git://git.zytor.com/users/mfleming/syslinux.git

Are you able to checkout and build from that repository to see if the
bug still appears?
