Yes, it will work that far.  However, it will attempt to boot the ISO
in BIOS mode, which is likely unavailable (I don't know if the uEFI
spec allows for such services to be available while in a uEFI boot).
In fact, even running MEMDISK should fail as it likely won't be able
to output anything to the console
