[syslinux] multiple ".." support

Unfortunately, the Windows-based SYSLINUX installer gives me an error:
 
  invalid media signature (not an FAT/NTFS volume?)  
 
I tried again the installer from v.4.06-pre7 and the above error is not showing up, so I'm guessing it is not really the media that has the problem, but the installer from v.4.06-pre10 (and pre9 too).
 
Is there any info I can provide? Any other test?
