Hi Ady

I guess Uwe's problem is not based on Syslinux itself	, but how he creates
the Cfg File
under Windows. By default newer Windows version use UTF-8 not ASCII-Chars if
a user
creates/edit a txt file. The text will show some cryptic text.
So his problem is based on available Editors and their settings under
Windows.
I prefer to use PS-Pad withTextFormatsetting = OEM.

Hi Uwe,
try to use Ps-Pad (or another Editor of your choice - not Notepad.exe) to
edit the cfg-File.
I you use Ps-Pad change first in the Menubar Format to OEM and exit Ps-Pad.
If you edit
the cfg file the next time and use german Umlaute menu.c32 will show them.

Peter
